I want to help – Information for donors and helpers
1. Who can support?
• Individuals • Groups, clubs, communities • Companies and foundations • People abroad who want to support Sri Lanka
There is no minimum amount – the key is trust, fairness and transparency.
2. How does support work?
• You donate once or on a regular basis • You may indicate a region or target group (e.g. children, elderly, students) • Serenova selects registered cases based on urgency and need • Support is sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account
No cash, no middlemen, no commission.
3. Transparency & reporting
• Every transfer is linked to a registered application • We keep anonymised records: amount, purpose, region • Donors can receive periodic summaries on request • No show projects – just clean, quiet, serious work
4. Safety & verification
• All applicants are verified (documents, plausibility checks) • False information leads to the case being blocked • No political or religious conditions • Focus: real need + clear criteria
5. What we expect from donors
• Respect and no pressure on families to “perform” for photos or stories • Understanding that not every individual wish can be fulfilled immediately • Willingness to provide information if needed (e.g. for receipts)
6. What we do NOT do
❌ no cash hand-outs on the street ❌ no preferential treatment based on connections ❌ no suitcases of money or PR stunts ❌ no transfers to non-registered individuals
